Retained Service & Initial HR Health Check

We generally work on a retainer basis and as part of that service, when a client engages us we go into the business and carry out an initial ‘HR Health-check’, which looks at all the HR related policies, systems, processes and procedures that the company has in place.
Some clients have nothing at all, others have contracts that were written years ago, others are up to date but want us to review them in any case. We can work from any point in this regard!
Off the back of the health check we then produce bespoke contract of employment templates (sometimes there is a requirement for more than one type e.g. zero hour contracts, annualised hours contracts), a bespoke employee handbook and provide various other systems and procedures to promote not only HR compliance, but also best practice in the business.
We then take ownership of those documents and keep them updated with changes not only in legislation, but also case law and in line with lessons learnt from other clients.
In addition, at the health check we also look to address any current issues that you may have with members of staff.

On-going unlimited telephone and email advice

Going forward, we are then there at the end of the phone or email to guide and support you as and when HR issues arise – rather like a virtual HR manager! For example, you might be wanting to restructure your business, or have a member of staff with whom you need to go through a disciplinary process, or have a member of staff who has a sickness absence problem.

Drafting of letters and documentation

We will not only guide and support you through the process, but we will also draft the letters and documentation that need to be issued to the employee. That way you not only know that you are doing things properly, but you have a strong ‘paper-trail’ to prove it.
Drafting of all documentation and letters to support case management as and when HR issues arise is all included in the monthly retainer fee, so you can budget for your HR with no nasty surprises!

Update you with changes in legislation

In addition to all this, we keep you up to date with changes in legislation throughout the year!

Ad-hoc Service Option

While we generally work on a retainer basis, where a client has a case or issue with a defined beginning and end, for example to implement a restructure, we are able to offer an ad-hoc advisory service on an hourly rate basis. For more information please contact us info@cluerhr.co.uk
